The Garden State Equality family of organizations, each of which is colloquially called Garden State Equality, includes the 501c3 Garden State Equality Educational Fund, which focuses on public education, including education and grassroots programs to complement the lawsuit for marriage equality; and the 501c4 Garden State Equality Action Fund, which focuses on lobbying for legislation. These two separate organizations operate independently of one another in strict compliance with state and federal laws.
